POEM – Apricots

Apricots and oranges
and other lush realities
can now be touched, peeled,
tasted, even savored some.

Yours the scent of tinted citron,
a flavor fragrant of love awakening;
you show the outer grace and
promises too of flesh within.

But are you not real, then,
not what our many
senses say?
