Introduction to Gnomica.

Someone was hurt before you, wronged before you, hungry before you, frightened before you, beaten before you, humiliated before you, raped before you… yet,
someone survived… You can do anything you choose to do.
Maya Angelou (4 April 1928 – )
Here is something else to read … to read and ponder, just at that moment when you think your world has come irrevocably crashing down around and on top of you. Yes, you are in a bad state, you suffer grievously, your universe is out of joint. Do not minimize your agony – but don’t milk it, either! Others have survived, perhaps even worse outrages than you, but they did survive. Even though you have never met them, today take courage from their handling of past ordeals – as tomorrow your dealing with present travail will give courage to others you’ll never know. Choose, then, to be participant in the unbroken continuum.
