When the door of happiness closes, another opens.
But often times we look so long at the closed door
that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.

Hanging on to a past, no matter how good or how bad, is human nature: in the latter case, we are haunted by the ghastly memories of enduring past pain; in the former case, we are hounded by a hopeless desire for recovery of past pleasure. Either modality today blocks the possibility of a new and different reality by blinding us to the incontrovertible fact of yesterday’s ontological evanescence and tomorrow’s permanent null-state. Now is all.
